SOFTWARE COPYING The University of Mississippi policy states: The University of Mississippi prohibits the unauthorized copying or electronic transmission of copyrighted computer software, computer data, and software manuals at the University of Mississippi unless appropriate written consent is obtained from the software vendor or licenser. Illegal copying of software is a serious offense which is punishable under the University's Academic Discipline procedure and by the laws of the State of Mississippi and the Federal Government. In addition to penalties for the individuals involved in such illegal actions, illegal copying of software may result in depriving all students of access to software. Because much of our educational software has been donated, if it is illegally copied the granting organization may withdraw all its copies.
