Job Title: Sales Engineer

Job Description:
This technical sales position is responsible for preliminary project design and planning, estimating, customer demonstrations, and supports proposal development. Works under direct supervision of a sales representative and/or sales manager and may travel with sales representatives to learn effective sales techniques.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prepare sales proposals
· Prepare estimates and take offs
· Generate and assist sales presentations
· Process and analyze feasibility assessments and/or all bid documents
· Obtain, assemble, and organize all project documentation to turnover to operations
· May coordinate and/or be required to attend trade shows and marketing/sales seminars
· Signature level authority as indicated by the Authorization Level document
· Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION:
· Four-year technical degree or equivalent work experience required.
EXPERIENCE:
· No sales experience required.
· Two years technical experience required.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Excellent organizational skills
· Good understanding of HVAC, access or other building or electronic control systems
· TAC product knowledge is a plus, but not required
