Mr. W. Elliott Hutchcraft, a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering Science student in Electrical Engineering has a long history and ties to Ole Miss. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering in 1996 (Summa Cume Lauda) and 1998 (Graduate Achievement Award and Fellowship). During his time as a student/instructor, he has developed as an outstanding young educator as he has taught several lecture and laboratory courses. While giving the eager minds of his students a wide-range of knowledge in electronics, control theory, electromagnetic fields, network analysis, and CAD in EE, he has also given them cookies as treats during his exams and quizzes. He has become well known for his cookies, particularly his famous Reece's Peanut Butter cookies.

After all these years of baking for others, his students and friends acquired a chocolate cake (he's a chocoholic) for him on his birthday this year. His cake was presented at an impromptu interruption of his EL.E 352-Models and Circuits class as shown in the accompanying pictures.
