The Alumni Circuit

Dr. Jerry M. Harris (BSEE ’73) visited the Mississippi Mineral Research Institute on campus to discuss cooperative efforts. Harris is department chair of geophysics at Stanford University.

Edward T. Holder (BSEE ’77) visited campus. He works for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntsville, Ala.

Jeffrey C. Follett (BSEE ’81) is assistant base engineer for the 186th Civil Engineers Squadron of the Mississippi Air National Guard. He is a lieutenant colonel deployed in Southeast Asia.

James L. Grantham (BSEE ’85) visited campus. He works for CSC/Nichols Research, Vicksburg, Miss.

Dr. Lee Andrew Harrison (BSEE ’94, M.S., Ph.D.) works for Radiance Technologies, Inc., Huntsville, Ala.

James B. Ross (BSEE ’95) is a Navy nuclear officer stationed at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif. He received his master’s degree in astronautical engineering in June.

Kenneth A. Van (BSEE ’95) received a master’s degree in computer engineering and works for the U.S. Army.

Rickey D. Purvis (BSEE ’97) is a planning manager with Intel, Olympia, Wash.

Mark Reed (M.S. ’97) is a senior design engineer with BAE Systems, Merrimack, N.H.

Edward Wartha (BSEE ’98) is a hardware development engineer with Dell Computers, Austin, Texas.

David L. Edge (BSEE ’99) works for Telecorp PCS/SUNCOM, Jackson, Miss.

Subas K. Dhungana (BSEE ’00) is an electrical engineer with Avant! Corp., Anaheim, Calif.

John M. “Jay” Earwood (BSEE ‘00) returned to UM to pursue a master’s degree in electromagnetics after working for Raytheon Systems Co., Forest, Miss.

Evelyn L-Y Chan (BSEE ’01) is working as a research engineer for Motorola, Penang, Malaysia.

Julie C. Charvat (BSEE ’01) graduated from Tuffs University with a master’s degree in May. She has accepted a position with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Xuexun “Benny” Hu (M.S. ’01) is employed as an electrical engineer with Kyocera, San Diego, Calif.

Dr. Joon Shin (Ph.D. ’01) received a NASA/LaRC postdoctoral research associate position to pursue electromagnetics research at NASA Langley Research Center.

Terrance A. Thomas (BSEE ’01) is an assistant broadcast engineer with CNN, Atlanta, Ga.

Dr. Vincent Robriguez (BSEE ‘94) is the proud father of new baby daughter, Eleanna, born Sept. 15, 2002 weighin 8 lbs. 2 oz. Vincent works with ETS-Lingren in Cedar Park, Texas.
