Born in Anhui, China, Cao received his bachelors degree in
electrical engineering from Hefei University of Technology in China
and his masters degree in computer science from University
of Science and Technology of China. He also obtained a doctoral
degree in electrical engineering from University of Missouri-Columbia
in 2002.
Caos research interests are in two categories. One is signal
processing and wireless communications, and the other covers multimedia
technologies including image processing, image/ video coding, and
graphics and fractals. He is a member of IEEE and a member of Sigma
Xi.
Cao is married to Yu Wang, and they have a son, Mingyang Cao.

engineering from Yarmouk University in Jordan, his masters
degree in electrical engineering from Jordan University of Science
and Technology, and his doctoral degree in electrical and computer
engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1996.
Matalgahs teaching and research interests are in the areas
of wireless communication and computer engineering.
He worked as a senior design engineer for Sprint PCS from 1996 to
2002.
