EL E 433 - High Frequency and Microwave Laboratory
2001 Catalog Data: EL. E. 433, High Frequency and Microwave Laboratory. Credit 1;
Prerequisite: El E 333, 441
| Textbook: | C.E. Smith, HF and Microwave Laboratory Manual, Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Mississippi, 2001 |
| References: | Field and Wave Electromagnetics by D.K. Cheng, Addison-Wesley, 1993 |
| Coordinator: | Dr. Charles E. Smith, Chair and Professor of Electrical Engineering |
| Goals: | The major purpose of this course is to familiarize the student with the instrumentation and techniques of making measurements at HF, wireless, and microwave frequencies. The student is expected to apply knowledge gained from related lecture courses to the analysis, design, and evaluation of both the system being studied and the results of the measurements obtained. A laboratory notebook and two formal laboratory reports are required. The student should acquire the ability to use instrumentation and perform measurements on circuits and systems at high frequencies. |
